WorldBound 1st anniversary!!!

Well, big day for us today. It’s the 1st anniversary of Operation WorldBound! Griffin was kind enough to give a history of WorldBound:

“Happy 1 year anniversary everyone! I want to thank Tyler for being the only one besides me who has been apart of this for a solid year! I also want to thank James for helping us in our last war at the MOTHER 2 community! Lastly, I’d like to thank Josh for helping me keep this going in our early days! (he always reminded me what I was fighting for) And to celebrate one year, I present to the story, of WorldBound. One year ago today, was MOTHER’s 25th anniversary, so naturally, something MOTHER related was bound to happen in the west (pun intended). When they didn’t do anything and completely ignored it in America and Europe, I stepped up and rallied some people. That’s when Westbound, our first incarnation, was born. One of those people who yeah’d that post was Josh, who later became one of the leaders of the group. At first, we went to the EarthBound community and got some more members. Then, we went to the MOTHER 2 community and went to business. The very first day was surprisingly successful! Lots of people showed up! I also met Tyler and Skywalker, who was defiantly leader materia. I was even planning on pulling an all nighter that night to keep it going. But the first night, is when the haters came. They would not leave us alone during this during this three-day raid. The next day, it got worse. While some of the people from yesterday came back, so did the haters, and they really tempted me to shut it all down. If I weren’t for Josh, we probably wouldn’t be here today. On either the second or third day, a MOTHER fan who I had met one day prior to the anniversary, joined our cause and became a huge reason why the haters backed off. Her name was Hikari. On the third day, she got in this fight with who seemed to be the instigator of all the hate, Praine. Afterwards, we both left. We had lost many of our comrades, including Skywalker. Then, the leaders came to be. The four leaders were me, Tyler, Hikari, and Josh. We went back to the EarthBound community and got back to business. We slowly got forgotten, and even our supporters forgot us, too. Over time, Hikari and Josh left. Then, we gave the group a reboot and headed back to the MOTHER 2 community on the 25th of the next October. We had very little support, then. The haters were beating us up. Then, I decided to go to the final resort and posted something about Smashy being worse than 9/11. This didn’t work in the slightest, but Travis gave James, one of our last members, an Idea. And like a phoenix, Westbound burned to ashes, and a new group was born from them. Our new name was WorldBound. We had more pacifist like was to deal with things and have since gotten much more support and less drama. On the 18th of May, 2015, Mato and Poe talked about us on EBC Live and again on the 24th. This got us a new dedicated member, Samuel. We decided to promote our group on the 2015 E3 Community. And then, we got MOTHER 1 and so did Europe. After awhile, the infamous miiverse genocide update forced us moving here. After a few days, it was our first anniversary, and I finally finished this story.”

Thanks everyone! I remember the first day of WestBound. Ahh, memories…

Remember Iwata...

Some, well, different news today. I have just recieved word that, Nintendo’s president and CEO, Satoru Iwata, has passed away. He was an outstanding president, awesome developer, but most of all, a great man. Thanks for everything, Iwata.

A total of four unused objects intended for the 100th floor remained in the final version of the game. All of them did in fact appear on the 100th floor; however, they used the graphics originally used in EarthBound, while the unused versions were redrawn in Mother 3's style. WikiBound

Just A Look At Some Of The Games Nintendo Has Allowed On The eShop Rather Than The Mother Games:

Just a sad reminder of the shovelware that Nintendo would rather publish on the eShop rather than two high quality and cult-classic games. Sad, isn't it?
